Growing with Care: How Moss Chops World Plants Are Raised, Packed & Sent

At Moss Chops World, plants are never just products — they’re living things that deserve time, attention, and proper care from the very beginning.

Many of the rare and unusual houseplants you’ll find here are grown and raised by me 😀 starting life from a corm, cutting, or seed. That means I’ve spent weeks, months, and sometimes years nurturing each plant before it ever reaches your doorstep. By the time a plant is ready to leave, it’s already been part of my daily care, obsessive over watching & patience 😂

This hands-on approach allows every plant to develop at its own pace, resulting in healthy growth, strong roots, and plants that settle more easily into their new homes.

Care Doesn’t Stop at Growing

Sending plants safely is just as important as growing them well.

Every order from Moss Chops World is carefully prepared for its journey, using protective packaging designed to support the plant and reduce movement during transit. When temperatures require it, heat packs are included to help maintain warmth and protect sensitive foliage.

Wherever possible, recycled and reusable packaging materials are used to help reduce waste and environmental impact — without compromising plant safety. It’s a balance between responsibility and reliability, and plant wellbeing always comes first.

Choosing Your Plant in Person

For those who prefer to see plants up close before bringing them home, local collection will be available from Moss Chops @ Pisky Cove, Praa Sands from 1st February 2026, following our shop winter break.

You’ll be able to reserve your plant online, then pop in, have a look around, and take your new plant home with confidence. It’s a relaxed, friendly way to connect with the plants and the process behind them.

There is free parking and a lush cafe next door.
